On the 28th of August, Gold Coast Waterways Authority finalised negotiations and awarded its largest single project to date to Synergy Resource Management. Site works are scheduled to commence in early October.
The Coomera Dredged Sediment Management Facility (CDSMF) contract involves dredging of 14km of the Coomera River and construction and operation of a sediment dewatering and processing facility, that will see these materials potentially re-used across the Gold Coast.
Synergy’s collaborative approach and agile capabilities will support the GCWA’s objective of maintaining safe and appropriately deep navigational channels, whilst improving water flow for flood mitigation. Growth in the marine services industry is also expected, as larger vessels are able to utilise the Coomera Marine Precinct services.
