Hi All,
It has been a busy and exciting start to the new year with strong activity across the whole business.
As you are all aware we have had a restructure of our business and the sectors we want to focus on in the near future, these being:
Civil Engineering | Water Services | Remediation | Mining Services | Infrastructure
We are now embarking on several new projects including, Vaughn Civil Moorebank (Water Services), Defence Williamtown (Water Services), Willow Tree (Civil Engineering), Kempt Field (Remediation), Construction of Five Car Parks and Wheelchair Access & Toilet Upgrades (Infrastructure). We are also about to start a number of projects involving asbestos remediation works.
We are in the final stages of negotiations with Rio Tinto for the Ferrous Sulphate supply contract, and we are in early stage negotiations for the Plant & Personnel contract. Both of these contracts are for 5 years in our Mining Services sector.
As Australia's weather patterns evolve, the significance of disaster relief, recovery and reconstruction programs becomes increasingly vital. These programs are essential in addressing the damage caused by major weather events that disrupt roads, properties and communities across the country. Our teams in Queensland and Northern Rivers had to deal with this earlier in the month with Cyclone Alfred. Luckily everyone got through it unscathed with minimal damage, we currently have a dedicated crew working in with local councils helping with the flood recovery work.
At Synergy there is nothing more important to us than the safety, health and wellbeing of our employees and those with whom we work with. The safety of our people and worksites are paramount and will not be compromised. Thank you for your continued commitment to keeping our workplaces safer and an enjoyable environment to work in.

Directors, Synergy Resource Management
An incident has occurred on a Synergy site where an electrofusion coupler, being used to join two lengths of HDPE pipe, created a small fire casuing the vertical vent stack to melt and fall over. The fire was extinguished immediately with damage only to the electrofusion coupler and HDPE pipe.
Electrofusion welding presents fire hazards due to the high temperatures involved and potential for ignition if the correct procedures and equipment are not utilised.
Corrective Actions
In 1959, Russia offered Pepsi submarines, military ships, and a significant amount of vodka in exchange for billions of dollars of Pepsi (Russian roubles were worthless). This made Pepsi the sixth most powerful military in the world.
Claire Stark
Accounts Manager
15 Years
My role isn’t as varied as it used to be, but it allows me to focus on the accounts side of the business, which I enjoy. I find satisfaction in contributing to Synergy's success and feeling like an integral part of the team.
It is true! I have 4 beehives at the moment
I have bee-n keeping bees for at least 8 years
The main thing for me is the fantastic hiking. We have so many National Parks on our doorstep that its easy to get away and explore for the weekend
No pets unless you count kids! I have 2 of those
I think multi- tasking the daily chores and ensuring the household runs as smoothly as possibly. Not sure if I would win gold though!
I am heading off to walk the Larapinta trail next week. It’s a 230km trek in the NT and I’ll be on trail for about 14 days.

We recently completed works at Kempt Field, Allawah, supporting WAMC and the NSW Government in remediating this former landfill. Our team installed a passive landfill gas extraction system to manage methane emissions from historic waste, designed for future conversion to an active system if required. Strict environmental controls were in place due to friable asbestos within the fill. Despite site complexity and public use, the project was delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Following this success, we’ve secured a second works package—reflecting the team’s hard work and capability.
Location: Orange | NSW

Synergy has successfully completed the construction of Cell 4, now operational with Orange City Council using it for waste receival. Capping works on Cells 1 and 2 are progressing well, with all engineered lining installations completed to a high standard and certified by the project’s CQA Engineer. The Synergy site team and Project Manager have managed challenging weather while maintaining momentum. Installation of the revegetation layer is underway, using a blend of stockpiled clay from previous cell construction and screened material processed by Council.
