Hi All,
We are proud to share highlights from the past quarter, showcasing both the achievements of our people and the impact of our work across Australia.
We have been successful on several new projects including BMD Moorebank WTP (Water Services), TestSafe Australia Water Treatment (Water Services) Moree Landfill Cell Fire Repairs (Remediation Services), Anderson Avenue Road Reconstruction, Casino (Civil Engineering) and Taree Landfill Capping (Civil Engineering).
As we approach the final quarter of 2025, safety remains our priority. We continue to develop and refine an environment where everyone feels secure and empowered to thrive. For us, safety is a core value, not just a checkbox
Finally, we would like to celebrate Dave Webster for reaching an incredible milestone—15 years of service with Synergy!

This alert reminds Synergy workers and subcontractors to stay safe during the summer heat. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause the body to overheat, leading to dehydration, heatstroke, cramps, or exhaustion. The body must maintain about 37°C to function properly.
Warning Signs: Look out for fatigue, headache, confusion, nausea, or vomiting.
Prevention: Stay hydrated—drink plenty of water and avoid energy drinks, coffee, or soft drinks. Plan work around cooler times of the day, rotate tasks to reduce exposure, and start each day well hydrated.
Take breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas and wear suitable PPE such as hard hat brims, tinted glasses, loose long-sleeved shirts, and sunscreen.
In 2007, Scotland spent GBP 125,000 ($255,000 AUD) creating a new national slogan. The winning entry was “Welcome to Scotland”

Matt.
Don’t be scared to ask questions, as your never too old to learn!
Never play with the painted controls always play with the shinny ones! Not everyone will understand but the people that do know what I mean..
I met both the Matt’s back in 2006 on a project in Pendle Hill. Matt Sedon was a Rugby head back then and still is! Matt Smith was living a new life in the Big smoke of Sydney and couldn’t wait to get back to Tassie. Both are good guys and nothing is a problem.
Not sure where you got gun operator from, but I’ll take it! Best bit of kit would have been the old 1985 D6D Dozer.

Location: Tweed Shire | NSW
Estimated Completion: December 2025
The project encompassed seven carpark sites located near sporting facilities and popular coastal areas, each with unique logistical and environmental challenges. Council required completion before October 2025 under a strict funding agreement. Throughout construction, Synergy maintained public and emergency access, managed unexpected subgrade failures, and coordinated complex remediation, including asbestos removal and interstate waste tracking within fire ant control zones. Despite these challenges, Synergy successfully delivered practical, durable, and community-focused outcomes across all sites.

Estimated Completion: Ongoing
Synergy is responsible for the design, installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of two Multi Barrier Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) at the RAAF Amberley Fire Training Ground (FTG – Tank 932) and Fire Training School (FTS – Retention Ponds 1 & 2). Each plant operates at up to 2 L/s or upto 7,500 L/h and treats PFAS, hydrocarbon and heavy metal impacted water from multiple sources.
The treatment process includes anion exchange resin, activated carbon adsorption, chemical dosing, flocculation and remote monitoring to maintain compliant water quality. Key challenges have included obtaining Defence passes for WTP personnel, operating in hot and humid conditions and achieving rapid mobilisation to meet client deadlines.

Location: Willow Tree | NSW
Estimated Completion: November 2025
Lining has commenced at the Willow Tree Landfill. A significant milestone with approximately 25% of the clay geofabric and the poly liner complete. With a geotextile and rock aggregate mix on the base and a geocomposite on the batters to go, we are on track to be completed by Christmas 2025. Synergy Resource Management thanks Liverpool Plains Shire Council for the opportunity to be involved in this crucial piece of infrastructure for the community, which will serve them well for around the next 30 years.
