The works involved pumping and collecting 236,000L of PFAS contaminated wash-water and 22,000L of sludge from the drainage sumps located over 500m away in storage tanks prior to treatment through Synergy’s Mobile Water Treatment Plant (MWTP).
As PFAS was the contaminant of concern for the site, Synergy applied to the NSW Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to utilise Synergy’s MWTP Environmental Protection Licence (EPL) 21225 to treat the contaminated water.
