Synergy were engaged by the Tweed Shire Council to finalising the design and constructing 1,560 metres of haul road across two stages, including pavement works, earthworks, a retaining wall and comprehensive environmental management measures.
The project involves finalising the design and constructing a 1,560m haul road connecting Stotts Creek Resource Recovery Centre to Quirks Quarry.
The Design and Construction of the Eviron Haul Road is progressing ahead of program with an extension to the scope of works to provide council with improved initial access to Quirks Quarry from the Stotts Creek Waste Management Centre site, additional works provide Improved access for maintenance, improved transport efficiency and serviceability across the greater site.
The works are split into two stages: Stage 1 (980m) – pavement construction over a subgrade previously prepared by Council and Stage 2 (580m) – includes clearing, bulk earthworks, a retaining wall, and pavement installation.
Synergy is also responsible for sediment and erosion control, and compliance with environmental, cultural heritage and ecological requirements. All works must align with Council specifications and applicable standards.
