Synergy was engaged to deliver works at the Euchareena Road Resource Recovery Centre, including the construction of Cell 4 and the capping of Cells 1 and 2.

The project involved the construction of Cell 4 and the capping of Cells 1 and 2. Cell 4 works included clearing, bulk excavation, and the installation of a leachate barrier and collection system, consisting of a compacted clay liner, geosynthetics, drainage aggregate, and perforated HDPE pipework. Associated infrastructure such as stormwater diversion drains and a leachate flushing point were also installed.

Capping works for Cells 1 and 2 included preparation of the waste surface, installation of a clay seal-bearing layer, gas collection infrastructure, LLDPE protection liner, topsoil and revegetation layers. The biofilter system was installed and commissioned to manage landfill gas emissions.

All works were completed in accordance with Orange City Council specifications and environmental controls, including QA verification and works-as-executed documentation.
