The sports field needed to be upgraded to improve the playing conditions and cater for increased numbers. The works include irrigation infrastructure, sub-surface drainage, field illumination, potable/reuse water installation, stormwater management, 200-space sealed car park, and road widening.

More than 13,000m2 of earth was stripped before importing highly specified topsoil and A-Grade turf. Field irrigation was installed through electronic controlled heads with subsoil drainage thereby improving field functionality and preserving the integrity of the turf in a high rainfall zone. To further enhance surface water drainage, stormwater networks were installed which included draining subsurface infrastructure and peak flow Bioretention filter basins processing stormwater flows.
