Synergy was elected to provide water management and treatment services to assist in managing PFAS contaminated surface and groundwater in the site catchment basins for the Moorebank Precinct works. The Moorebank Precinct Intermodal Works is underway to construct one of the most important freight infrastructure projects being developed in Australia.

Taree Landfill Cell

Synergy was contracted by Mid Coast Council to construct an engineered landfill cell, Leachate Management system and Leachate storage dam. The construction of the new landfill cell at the Taree Waste Management Centre was a pivotal project for Mid Coast Council (MCC) as this facility is designated as the regional disposal point for the local resident’s future waste requirements. All works were completed within the stringent environmental and legislative requirements of this licensed facility.

Moorebank Intermodal Precinct West Stage II

Georgiou Group engaged Synergy to treat surface and groundwater impacted by PFAS and Metals from construction activities on the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct West Project for onsite reuse and discharge.  Synergy’s water treatment plants operated in the most challenging of site conditions. Treating both PFAS and Metals to ANZECC 95% as well as managing pH and Suspended Solids. Synergy has treated over 650 million litres of PFAS contaminated water with zero exceedances.

Pop Denison Park Playground

As part of Ballina Shire Council’s Coastal Management Plan for the Shaws Bay area, Synergy was contracted to supply and install a playground and associated park and garden facilities at Pop Denison Park. Detailed earthworks achieved finish subgrades for the installation of play equipment, pathways, shelters, furniture, walls, edging and nature play areas.
Macquarie Point Remediation

Macquarie Point Remediation

Working within the Macquarie Point precinct, Synergy was contracted to demolish the former concrete batching plant adjacent to the Tasman Highway major arterial to enable future redevelopment works. The remedial works involved the demolition of concrete structures, segregation of historic fill materials and waste stream management for offsite disposal or beneficial reuse.
Benns Road Upgrade

Benns Road Upgrade

Synergy was engaged to upgrade and repair two separate sections of Benns Road, Casino, NSW for Richmond Valley Council. The 1km alignment required upgrading the route to meet B-Double transport specifications. In collaboration with our Client, Richmond Valley Council, Synergy established a specialist roading construction crew to assist in meeting the Council delivery deadlines and the local communities’ expectations.

Rio Tinto Alcan Gove

Rio Tinto Alcan Gove engaged Synergy to design, constructand operate a trial Ferrous Sulphate Batching Plant. The system exceeded expectations and after minor upgrades the plant is stilloperational today.  The continuous operation of the Ferrous Sulphate Batching Plant is essential tothe remediation of the local environment and the ultimate transfer of land back tothe traditional owners.

Petrie Mill Water Treatment Plant

Synergy were engaged by Orora Limited to treat surface water and stabilise accumulated sludge within 20 legacy processing ponds following 60 years of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations on a former carton board paper mill located in Petrie QLD. Remediation of the former Petrie Paper Mill is a challenging environmental project. Synergy’s activities are part of progressive site redevelopment by Moreton Bay Regional Council
Nammoona Landfill Cell

Nammoona Landfill Cell

Synergy was contracted by Richmond Valley Council to construct the new Landfill Cell 6A completed with an integrated Sedimentation Basin and Leachate Pond. Excavation and construction were undertaken using GPS machine control with the works completed to level 1 Geotechnical supervision in accordance with EPA guidelines for modern solid waste Landfills.
